FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about launching a rice brand, our mill in Nasarawa State, our products and how to order.
Starting your own rice brand
How do I start my own rice brand in Nigeria?
You can start a rice brand without owning a factory by using contract manufacturing. You bring your brand identity. Own A Rice Brand Contract Manufacturing Mill Ltd sources and mills the rice, packs it into your custom-branded bags, and supports you through NAFDAC registration. You then focus on marketing and sales.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) to launch my brand?
Because we operate a high-capacity 45 MT/day facility, our MOQs are structured to accommodate growing startups as well as corporate giants. Contact our team today to get a breakdown based on your preferred bag sizes.
What is rice contract manufacturing or white labeling?
It is an arrangement where an established mill processes and packages rice for another business, and the rice is sold under that business's own brand name. We process raw rice paddy or pre-milled rice and package it directly into your custom-branded bags, in compliance with the NAFDAC Contract Manufacturing Policy.
Do you handle the bag design and printing?
We provide the exact technical specifications and dimensions required for our automated packaging lines. While you bring your brand identity, we can recommend vetted packaging manufacturers and walk you through our integrated NAFDAC registration assistance program to ensure your labels are legally compliant.
Can I supply my own paddy or pre-milled rice?
Yes. Our contract milling service accepts both raw rice paddy and pre-milled rice.
Do you help with NAFDAC registration?
Yes. We provide end-to-end NAFDAC registration assistance for new brands, guiding you through product standardization, documentation and compliance frameworks to get your brand retail-ready.
